hi i am a telugu person living in Bangalore…can’t understand a word in tamil….i came across this song in ss music….and wow…got to say i have not heard a better composition from Rehman…..i cannot pass a single day without listening to this song atleast 4-5 times…the video also is so beautiful….I heard the telugu version of the song…strangely doesn’t sound half as good as in tamil….can somebody please..please post the meaning of the lyrics….i understand the lyrics in telugu are not exactly the translation of the original…

A.R.Rehman weaves the magic once again. His music always grows slowly . But this one straight goes to the heart and pulls the strings right from the word “go”. I will not give full credit to ARR though the blending is perfect. I was taken back to Lata’s song in Anpad; music by Madan mohan. This song has the same tune. But Lata! incomparable. Listen to Lata with Madanmohan’s music. It is a priceless gem.
However thanks ARR. the song will stay in memory for a long time.

I listened this more than 20 times this day with the help of this site .thanks. This song has also been composed in telugu, the name of the movie is “nuvvu, nenu, prema”, but trust me somehow it does not sound the same. Strange, since most tamil songs gel well with telugu and vice versa. Been checking this site everyday, but no luck so far…nobody posted the meaning of the lyrics…not even the first few lines…….hey, u guys… have some mercy on non-tamilians like us.

PLs can u transalate the above line, i am not getting the words. Ii somehow feel that Sherya Goeshl and Narsh should not have sung this song, pronunciation of some tamil words are not proper and Valli’s beautiful lyric was wasted by choosing bombay singers, it would have been more sweet if hariharan and Sujatha/Chitra wwould have sunged this song
