But from Singapore I am not able to Sign up directly. Gmail is asking for mobile number, then it sends the invitation code as SMS.

I am not sure whether its the same in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Brazil, Australia, Russia and Japan. Anyone from those places can sign up without invitation code…?

UPDATE: People who does’nt want to do sign up using mobile invitation, post your email address as comments. I will send you gmail invitation.

yahoopipes.pngPipes is a free online service that lets you remix popular feed types and create data mashups using a visual editor. You can use Pipes to run your own web projects, or publish and share your own web services without ever having to write a line of code.

The Product name is taken from Unix environment. Unix Pipes is used for datatransfer between applications, whereas yahoo pipes is used for datatransfer between webservices.

Yahoo! Pipes allows you to take data from one or more sources, remix the content, then publish to the world.

The Simplicity of the application helps the non technical user to take any sources, user input requests or pre-configured modules and drag+drop them into place and then connect the pipes. However user needs to know the terminology they use & they should be familiar of the pre-defined modules of Yahoo Pipes. Complete list of Pipes module can be found here.

How to Create a Pipe

Each Pipe consists of two or more modules, each of which performs a single, specific task.

Each module has one or more terminals, represented by small circles in the interface. You can wire modules together by clicking on one module’s output terminal and another module’s input terminal. Now the output from the first module will serve as input to the second module.

In addition to data feeds, Pipes also lets you add user input fields into your Pipe. These show up at runtime as form fields that users of your Pipe can fill in.

Once you have built your pipe, you can save it on yahoo server and then call it like you would any other feed. Yahoo Pipes supports RSS, RDF, JSON and Atom formats

The tutorial of Yahoo Pipes is still missing…I guess it will be updated soon..

Archaeologists in Italy have dug a pair of human skeletons, their arms still wrapped around each other in an eternal embrace.

skeletons-embracing.jpg Archaeologists unearthed the skeletons dating back to the late Neolithic period outside Mantua, 25 miles south of Verona, the city of Shakespeare’s story of doomed love.

Buried between 5,000 and 6,000 years ago, the prehistoric pair are believed to have been a man and a woman and are thought to have died young, because their teeth were found intact, said Elena Menotti, the archaeologist who led the dig.

Experts will now study the artifacts and the skeletons to determine the burial site’s age and how old the two were when they died, she said. The finds will then go on display at Mantua’s Archaeological Museum.Establishing the cause of death could prove almost impossible, unless they were killed by a debilitating disease, a knife or something else that might have left marks on the bones.

The two bodies, which cuddle closely while facing each other on their sides, were probably buried at the same time, an indication of a possible sudden and tragic death.
